Palak Garg is an Indian illustrator and designer based in London. She studied Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL. Making connections through visuals by finding the best approach for each project, rather than sticking with one medium, is at the core of her work. Her colourful and playful illustrations feature a diverse set of people and places, either observed or imagined, often exploring themes of community, culture and belonging. With a background in drawing and printmaking, she builds her images in layers and shapes using analogue and digital tools, separating colours and making textures by hand whilst breaking the process down to its essentials. She currently balances commercial work with personal projects.

Recent clients include Camberwell Arts Festival, Cone8 studio, Costa Coffee, Fine Acts, Gail’s Bakery, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Not Just a Shop, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, So Young Magazine, Sheet Magazine, South London Landscape History, Stratford Literary Festival, The Association for Cultural Enterprises, The Greats, UKRI, Unbound Philanthropy, University of the Arts London and WIX Playground.

Palak’s work has been exhibited in festivals and exhibitions around the world and has been acknowledged by the Macmillan Prize for Illustration and the Association for Illustrators in the UK.
